This Also Shows How Broke The Government Is As We Earlier Heard. But Am Not Here To Talk About The Failures Of The Current Government. Let Me Highlight A Few Defects And Propose Solutions. The Two Public Universities, UNZA And CBU Are Heavily Depending On The Government. This Means That If The Government Runs Broke, Like In This Case, Both Universities Suffer. COPPERBELT UNIVERSITY AND UNZA I Saw Some New Buildings Being Put Up. But Unfortunately, The New Buildings Are Housing Banks. The Question Is, What Benefit Are These Banks Bringing To The University? Maybe They Are Donating Money? Rumor Had It That UNZA Was Considering Allowing The Construction Of A Shopping Mall And A Night Club. The University Management Should Have Brought In Building Of Research Centers, Where Some Of Us, Who Love Research, Could Be Spending Our Time. We Have The Smallest University Library For A Public University, Unlike The UNZA Library Which Dwarfs That Little Study Room We Have. The Copperbelt University Has Very Innovative Students. They Make Projects That Big Companies Could Be Interested In. In Developed Countries, Universities Receive Royalties From Companies Because Of Innovative Students. But Here At CBU, Our Projects Are Sent Into The Archives, Never To Be Heard Of Again. Student Mentality Is A Good Contributor As Well. Some Students Would Rather Have A Night Club, Than A Research Center, Yet They Want Money To Be Flowing Each Term. To Show You The Price Of Innovation And Creativity, Facebook Founder Mack Zuckeberg Is Worth $25 Billion. Popular Messaging App Whatsapp Was Sold In Total $19 Billion. The US Defense Spends Billions Of Dollars On Innovation Produced By Intelligent And Innovative Students. The Government Has Allowed These Foreign Investors To Be Importing Labour At The Expense Of Our Engineers And Technicians, KCM Is Making Billions Of Dollars Just 48KM Away, Mopani Is Making Billions Of Dollars Just 37 Kilometers Away, We Have A Lot Of Billion Making Companies In Our Country, Cant Government Push These Billion Dollar Making Companies To Sponsor Students? This Shows That Our Developed Friends Put More Value On Knowledge. Here, We Put More Value On Unnecessary Things. Do We Need Nightclubs, Shopping Malls And Banks In Our Universities? BC I Believe BC Must Be A Right. Meaning, Every Well Meaning Student Must Be Awarded BC. Its Shocking That People Who Reduced The BC Coverage Like Gen Godfrey Miyanda In The Chiluba Government (Reportedly Heard) Where The Biggest Beneficiaries Of The Free Education That Came With UNIP. Our Parents Have Been Paying Tax All Their Life, We Pay Tax For Everything We Buy, And Yet We Still Have A Broke Government? These Governments Are Merciless On Us The Poor Masses, They Even Increase The Tuition Fees, And Reduce The Sponsorship Coverage?
