BCBS of IL already lined up chiropractors on the chopping block last year and started at it... now in 2 weeks another hammer falls as they take away all of the supportive therapies (including massage, which unfortunately many DCs take more in collections from than actual adjusting) so many offices do like crazy to rack up the claims! Im quite certain by the end of this year the entire demolition project will be complete... and unfortunately if they dont change their ways, a large percentage of DCs in the state will go under! If you are a DC (or know one) in Illinois who is still accepting and billing out BCBSIL, Id highly recommend you join us at Cops Chiropractors next Thursday night with myself and Dr. Timothy C Weselak - Ill be detailing the exact style of practice that THRIVES in a model WITHOUT insurance of any sort - Pediatrics and Family Wellness cash practice! I hope we get a good turn out to this event, as Id much rather see big numbers there than big numbers in the bankruptcy departments in a few months.
