BCFPHN Approves Contract Extension President Karen Pilecki reports that members of the Baltimore County Federation of Public Health Nurses (BCFPHN) voted to extend the terms of their current contractual agreement with Baltimore County through Fiscal Year 2016. The extension was approved by 96 percent of the BCFPHN voting membership. The agreement provides a 3 percent bonus for all employees on the payroll as of October 1, 2014, in November 2014; a 3 percent Cost of Living (COLA) allowance for all employees in the bargaining unit on July 1, 2015; and guaranteed step and longevity increases with no layoffs or furloughs for all employees in the bargaining unit for Fiscal Years 2014, 2015, and 2016. "I am very pleased that our members approved this agreement," said BCFPHN President Karen Pilecki. "This agreement recognizes the important work that nurses and nurse practitioners do in Baltimore County, and I appreciate the support that County Executive Kamenetz is showing us with the contract extension." The current contract was scheduled to expire on June 30, 2014. The new agreement extends through June 30, 2016.
