He was friendly with soft body language with police and rode calmly loose in the back seat of the car. During intake he was very friendly with soft wiggly body language and a low wagging tail. He stood up on his hind legs and gently leaned against the officer for pets. He had an open mouth and relaxed eyes. He didnt react to scan or collar. He allowed us to spend a couple of minutes getting a large tight chain off his neck. And I remember thinking, WOW, you are gorgeous and I cant wait to meet you. Francisco has everything is stunning good looks promises to deliver: great personality, affection and good manners. He rushes out of the building to take care of his business so is likely housetrained(and looks up for approval after he goes) and then alternates between some excited pulling and perfect manners. As we passed a small Yorkie yapping at him he looked at the dog, and then up at me as if to say, whats that little guy fussing about, and we continued on our way. He doesnt mind being tethered for photos, sits when asked to and gently takes his reward treats. Off leash in the yard he loves chasing a tennis ball, brings it back, but doesnt release it. Cute. As other dogs pass by he wags his tail in happy greeting, hoping perhaps for a play date. Affectionate, always smiling and friendly, Francisco is an absolute delight. Were told that he was found tied to a building with a heavy chain and had friendly soft body language when the police found him. He rode free in the back seat of the police car and was friendly to all intake staff, patiently standing still as the chain was removed from him. He leaned in for petting as he was being intaked. Francisco comes when I call him, happy to give and get kisses and a good rubdown. Hes looking for an active family in which lots of exercise and play time are on the daily to do list.
