BE FIRST TO INITIATE GOODNESS We should always try to be from those who are always the first to initiate the good deeds and first to forbid the evil deeds. That is where the most reward lies & by Allāh we are all needy for it. And remember for every good deed you initiate, you get the reward every single time that deed is done until the Day of Judgement without decreasing the reward of the other individual. On the authority of Abu Hurayrah رضي الله عنه, the Prophet ﷺ said, من دعا إلى هدى كان له من الأجر مثل أجور من تبعه لا ينقص ذلك من أجورهم شيئاً، ومن دعا إلى ضلالة كان عليه من الإثم مثل آثام من تبعه لا ينقص ذلك من آثامهم شيئاً Whoever calls to guidance will have the reward similar to all those who follow him without their reward diminishing in any way and whoever calls to misguidance, he will have the sins similar to all those who follow him without their sins decreasing in any way. [Sahīh Muslim] I ask Allāh to make us from those who initiate that which is good & forbid that which is evil.
