BE STEADFAST TILL THE END Wow what a conference! We truly thank God for the just concluded Kingdom Life World Conference. Indeed, God visited us both as individuals and as a ministry. Indeed, the heavens are open and I know that nothing around us shall remain the same again. I believe in the words of the men and women God brought our way and I know that the seed of the word sown will undoubtedly bear fruits in our lives and the fruits will remain. I therefore encourage you to go get the messages either in audio or video format and via Vimeo and YouTube, and listen to them over and over again until they come alive in your spirit. Ensure that you pray those words and declarations you have listened to, into your spirit, because it is the truth you know, and have also received that will set you free. The fact that you were in the services does not mean that you got it all; you need to listen to them again and again, make notes and pray them into your spirit. The word of God has gone forth over your life, but you need to become one with the word to reap the full benefits of the word. Listen to what the scriptures says in Acts 4:21 {KJV} It says, ‘’ And they continued stedfastly in the apostles’ doctrine and fellowship, and in the breaking of bread and in prayers.’’ Did you see that? The phrase ‘continued stedfastly’ simply implies that they did not just stop at what they heard. They made an effort to continue in the doctrine {or teachings} of the apostles, fellowship and prayers. Often times, some of us tend to rest on our oars after a major conference like this, while some others actually shut down spiritually. While it is okay to rest physically, this is however the time to re-fire because your adversary the devil does not go on vacation. Beloved, you must understand that it is in continuing stedfastly in the word, fellowship and prayers that growth takes place. It is in continuing that you make it to the end. It is in continuing that you get to the next level of God’s plan and purpose for your life. You cannot afford to relent in your walk with the Lord. I therefore encourage you to keep serving Him, keep trusting Him, keep fellowshipping with Him and I can assure you that He will perfect all that concerns you. Your heaven is open and you will not be denied. The Lord will fill your mouth with good things and show you a token for good. I will hear your testimonies. Let me quickly use this opportunity to remind you that our Annual Thanksgiving Service holds on Sunday 8 December. I want to implore you to make it a date with the Lord. Roll out the drums, put on your dancing shoes because it is time to praise the Lord. I am a firm believer that God has been good to us and we need to give Him quality thanks. Beloved, like I always say, the greatest gift God has given to you is life. You are not alive today because you are smart, rich or wise; you are alive today simply by the grace and mercies of God. This is therefore not the time to point to the things you think God has not yet done in your life, but rather this is the time to count the many undeserved blessings that have come your way. Take a look at the newspapers and see the caliber of people passing on almost on a daily basis, then you will realize that it is simply the grace of God at work in your life. Take a look at what the psalmist says in Psalms 107:21-22. He literarily looked around him and exclaimed ‘’Oh that men would praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men’’ In the next verse he says ‘’and let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare His works with rejoicing’’. Beloved, just like the Psalmist, you need to think about the goodness of God in your life and truly thank Him for that business breakthrough, healing, marriage, family and finances all through the year. Take a quality decision to really appreciate the Lord during the forthcoming Thanksgiving Service and let it be sacrificial, because no man gives to God and goes away empty handed. Do it with a cheerful heart, rejoice and dance in His presence, and that way you will release heaven’s abundant resources in your favour. Until I come your way again, I implore you to stay sensitive in the spirit, as we come to the close of the year, be at alert. Don’t just do things to follow tradition, but be led by the spirit of God. Remember that as many as are led by the spirit of the Lord are the sons of God. Don’t just follow the crowd, be stedfast in your walk with God, be led by the spirit and it is my that this new month will bring the perfection of all your desires. I prophesy that this generation will hear your voice, and you will end the year 2013 finishing strong. I bless you in Jesus name. Maranatha! In His Royal Service Dr Mike Okonkwo, The Presiding Bishop
