BE WATCHFUL AND TAKEHEED LEST YOU FALL: 1Cor.10:12-13. Wherefore let him that thinketh hestandeth take heed lest he fall. There hath no temptation taken you but such asis common to man: but God is faithfulwho will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will withtemptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. The Christian race gets hotter everyday as we draw toward the end of age. The devil knew that his time is almost uptherefore he is waging war with great indignation wanting to hinder as manypilgrims as possible from living a consistent victorious life. This is thereason the Lord is bringing this warning to us tonight that we must take heedlest we stumble and fall. Mt.11:12. The Lord never leaves in ignorant about theintention of the devil our enemy and what would be victorious Christian mustdo. He said that from the day of John the Baptist the kingdom of heavensuffereth violent and the violent takes it by force. We must violent with ourflesh, our appetites, eyes, thoughts what you allow and the world.Rom.13:11-14. This not the time for anyone to be careless or unserious becausethe end is very near, we must be very watchful and vigilant. Acts.20:28. WARNING AGAINST SELF CONFIDENCE ANDCARELESSNESS: 1Cor.10:12-13. Luke.22:31-32. Ezekiel.33:13.Hebrews.12:15-17. Mt.24:11-13. Hebrews.3:7-8, 12-14. 1Peter.5:8-9. If there is no danger there will be noneed for warning. It is because there is danger and the possibility ofbacksliding that the Lord is warning us. It is very unfortunate that many atimes some people will not pay attention to the warning and like Peter theybecome so self confidence. People like Samson, Solomon, David, Peter, JudasIscariot, Demas and many others did not pay attention to the warning of the scripturesagainst backsliding and they paid dearly for it. Today the Lord is warning ushe that thinketh he standeth take heed lest you fall. WATCHFULNESS OF THE SOLDIERS OF CHRIST: 1Cor.10:12.2Timothy.2:3-5. Eph.5:14-17. Eph.6:10-18. 1Thess.5:4-9. 1John.5:19-21. Every Christian soldier need to bevery vigilant and awake. Because in the parable of the sower it was when menslept that the enemy came and sows tears in the field. Mt.13:25. The devil willalways watch for the careless hour when you are not watching and strike. Thedevil uses different methods (1) Distraction. (2) Deception. (3)Discouragement. (4) Diversion. (5) Distortion. (6) Deformation. (7) Disruption.Therefore there is need for us to be very watchful, vigilant and prayerful. (1)Watch over your spiritual life. (2) Watch over your relationships. (3) Watchover your consecration and your calling. (4) Watch over your studies and prayerlife. (5) Watch over your congregation and your children. (6) Watch over yourministry and your messages. (7) Watch over your attitude and utterances. WINNING THE CONQUERORS CROWN: Rom.8:35-39.2Timothy.4:1-8. Rev.3:11-12. 1Cor.10:12-13. Jude: 3, 20-25. Rev.21:5-7. Those who will win the crown are theconquerors you don’t give award to losers but to winners. To be a winner youmust take the following steps. (1) Take heed to the warnings of the scriptureand walk carefully. (2) Be watchful and prayerful and obey the word of God. (3)Beware of worldliness, worldly ambitions, and get rich quick syndrome. (4)Withdraw from anyone who is not walking straight. (5) Be faithful and honest inall things. (6) Maintain clear conscience void of offence towards God and men.(7) Resist and reject all the offers from Satan and his agents and earnestlycontend for the faith once delivered unto the saints
