For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: If a man will not work, he shall not eat. We hear that some among you are idle. They are not busy; they are busybodies. Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the bread they eat. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12 NIV Basically God is Just and wants everyone to earn their pay; also to work for their food. Idleness leads only to many temptations to sin and mischief making. Busybodying and gossip mongering go together. God wants all to live honourably in Christ Jesus. Father, Help us to work and earn our pay and food; to live honourably amongst all men in Jesus Name. Amen!!! The way of the slothful man is as an hedge of thorns: but the way of the righteous is made plain. Proverbs 15:19 KJV When you live an idle lazy life, your life becomes a misery and a disaster; your way becomes like a hedge of thorns! However, not so for the righteous; for the righteous do what is right according to the Word of God, even shared above. Help us to live the holy and righteous life approved for believers by God in Jesus Name. Amen!!! Here is what I have seen to be good and fitting: to eat, to drink and enjoy oneself in all ones labor in which he toils under the sun during the few years of his life which God has given him; for this is his reward. Furthermore, as for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, He has also empowered him to eat from them and to receive his reward and rejoice in his labor; this is the gift of God. Ecclesiastes 5:18,19 NASB When you eat and enjoy your food and drink; enjoy and reap the fruits of your labour - this is a Blessing from God Almighty. God Gives wealth and riches to whomsoever He Desires. If you have that good fortune and He Enables you to enjoy it all, then you are truly Blessed. Father, please Bless us and Enable us to enjoy Your Blessings in our lifes o Lord in Jesus Name. Amen!!! Take a lesson from the ants, you lazybones. Learn from their ways and be wise! Even though they have no prince, governor, or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. Proverbs 6:6-8 NLT Ants are Gods creation too! They have no ruler or leader to direct their affairs; yet are most organised and achieve great feats simply by co-operating with each other! Is that not the power of love and caring for one another? If only we can learn from those little despised creatures, how Blessed we would be. Lord, Give us wisdom as You Endowed the ants so we may collaborate like them and have great success in Jesus Name. Why? That we may appreciate and give Him thanks always. The Bible says to give thanks in all circumstances; not just when things are good but also when theyre not good! No matter how hard things are for us; even though we may perish on the outside, inside, we are renewed continuously! Be assured of this: that our afflictions are all momentary; achieving for us a glory which is eternal. We often focus on things that we see; forgething that they are temporal. It is the things that we do not see that last forever! Do not focus on circumstances; rather, give room, make room for the things that are unseen. Focus on the unseen. The spirit is most powerful as everything is controlled and driven by the spirit! Father, Help us to be wise and to understand the driving force of life, the Holy Spirit of God and to submit ourselves and lives to be so guided in Jesus Name. Amen!!!
