BEASTIES! Juried Exhibition. The intake day is September 22 3-6 pm. NOT in October even if the show is in October. The only day is September 22 unless you enter online of course. The juror is fabulous, very knowledgeable and competent but with a broad sense of humor. Just what we need! - Jan Wurm has taught for University of California Berkeley Extension and lectured extensively. Wurm has organized lecture series and exhibitions for a number of art centers and is currently guest curator of the exhibition, “Closely Considered: Diebenkorn in Berkeley,” on view at the Richmond Art Center September 14 - November 16. Wurms paintings and drawings have been exhibited internationally and are included in the collections of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco Achenbach Graphic Arts Foundation, New York Public Library Print Collection, Archiv Verein der Berliner Künstlerinnen, and the Universität für angewandte Kunst in Vienna. The call is for: Call for artwork featuring animals large or small from any kingdom, real or born in the realm of your imagination. Think also animal-like creatures, prehistoric, realistic to futuristic and expressions of your “wild side”, your fears or dreams. Open to any medium; 2 or 3 dimensional, film, costume or performance.
