BEAUPRE DAYS: This collection of drawings was made in the best ballet academy of Maracaibo (Venezuela), directed by Beatriz Gonzalez (always beautiful). I had my studio on the second floor of the house next door and remember the intense activity of the young ballerinas. I enjoyed drawing them in moments of rest or practice, some posing for me, others simply reading or talking, but it always was fascinating. It was a privilege to witness their beautiful movements. Im sure I made many more, but I just found these, I gave some to Beatriz and sold others to a collector. Either way, I kept these to remember the days of Beaupre. Maybe some of you remember the names of my models - all beautiful girls with class!
