BEAUTIFUL...I marvel at how small a word, yet powerful that it has the potential to leave impressions upon your self esteem and how you relate to others. How we were raised, including the labels and descriptions others put on us, at the same time our own associations, and own descriptions can potentially affect our ability to feel beautiful...How powerful are our words, thoughts, and affirmations....... Eckhart Tolle in his book A NEW EARTH states, You can only lose something that you have, but you cannot lose something that you are.” Even the most glamorous and gorgeous women that we can imagine has flaws and imperfections. Therefore, it boils down to embracing oneself for qualities other than the physical body, maintaining a positive self image, and not judging based on the beauty standards of a certain race or society. Being beautiful is not relegated to only what we physically look like. Rather, the beauty is in our imperfections as well as our perfections. Our differences and uniqueness, those things that make us permanently and inevitably flawed, those we can not lose because we are...... Those are what make us beautiful.
