BEAUTIFUL Shelley flies Pilots for Patients and shared this about her Compassion Bag. I cant wait to meet all our BEAUTIFUL PFP overcomers, their family and friends, when I speak at their annual fundraiser in October! I had to share the pic of her empty Compassion Bag because she fills it each time she flies for treatment! BEAUTIFUL Shelley knows that the hospital waiting room where Compassion That Compels started with a letter and sweater was MD Anderson. Not so long ago I came home to a box by my front door. What a wonderful, uplifting, useful surprise. It was a bag from Compassion That Compels. It was filled with all the tools a cancer patient needs to trek off to a hospital. A beautiful warm blanket, a awesome journal, a wonderful devotion book that I use every day, Jesus Calling, scripture mints (which I shared with others at MD Anderson) and a gift card from Chick-fil-A that I shared with another patient while at the hospital. But another blessing of this bag is that the bags have been shared with others that fly Pilots for Patients and from this bag many others have been blessed. Not only that but I now have another friend that checks on me, prays for me and prays for others when ask too. Check out their website. Such a testament of what God calls us to do. Next Tuesday I will be flying Pilots for Patients again an going to MD Anderson. Patrick want be able to make this trip but my friend Janis Ragan Dickson will be going. I will have my tote bag in hand an am forever grateful to Pilots For Patients and Compassion That Compels.
