BECOME A PROFESSIONAL PILOT OR AERONAUTIC ENGINEER IN USA OR SOUTH AFRICA. Flying Corporate Jets and Commercial Airplane is a very lucrative profession and commands global respect. You can earn between N400, 000 and N650, 000 monthly as a fresh Commercial Pilot or upon becoming an Aircraft Engineer. ENTRY QUALIFICATION FOR DEGREE IN AERONAUTIC ENGINEERING: Five Credits in Science subjects; GCE or SSCE or NECO but not more than two combined results. English, Mathematics and Physics are compulsory plus any other two subjects for Aeronautic Engineering. ENTRY QUALIFICATION FOR PILOT TRAINING: Five credits; including English Language and four other subjects in sciences or Arts. University Degree is an added advantage. International passport and sponsor’s bank statement showing sufficient funds for training. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT FOR AERONAUTIC ENGINEERING. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL; 70% iBT), Sponsor’s bank statement and College Transcript. WAIVER: The TOEFL can be waved provided the student will take U.S English lesson upon arrival at the University. Students may also be eligible for scholarship or sponsorship after 2nd academic year maintaining a CGPA 3.50. Scholarship is provided by Boeing, British Aerospace, Women in Aviation USA, Bombardier, etc. PILOT TRAINING AND AERONAUTIC ENGINEERING. Stages in professional pilot training: 1. Private Pilot License Training (PPL) - elementary 2. Commercial Pilot License (CPL) Training with multi-engine and instrument rating – professional. 3. Helicopter Commercial Pilot License (CPL) – Training period is maximum of 24 months. 3. Aeronautic Engineering (BSc) – Students can specialize in Aircraft Engines repairs and maintenance or Aircraft Designs and Structures or Aircraft Avionics and Electrical Engineering. The CPL is the professional training which enable the license holder to fly commercial air plane for commercial airlines, e.g Arik Air, Aero Contractor Airlines, KLM, Lufthansa, British Airways, Delta Airlines, etc. The Final examinations and flying test are conducted by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Country where the student trained. In USA, it is the FAA License while the SACAA Pilot License is issued by the aviation authority of South Africa. However, the flight training schools issue their training Certificates to students. The FAA or SACAA Pilot License is superior to the certificate issued by the Schools. In other words, the flight schools are coordinated by the FAA and SACAA ensuring strict compliance with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) regulations and training standards. The Schools are authorized and licensed by the SACAA and FAA to train pilot students for license certification. The Fixed Wings is the Commercial Aircraft used for regular air transportation while the Rotary is the Helicopter used for offshore operations, forest and high seas shuttles, operated mostly by oil exploration companies like Shell, Chevron, etc. TUITION FEES: 12 months CPL Training: $45, 000 - South Africa. (It includes Tuition, Accommodation & Feeding). 12 months CPL Training: $47, 000 - USA. (It includes Tuition, Accommodation & Feeding. 4 years Aeronautic Engineering: $28,000 per year. Student may enjoy scholarship 2nd year of the Program. 24 Months CPL Training (Helicopter) – USA $58, 000. South Africa $54, 000 6 Months PPL Training in South Africa $20, 000 (includes Tuition, Accommodation & Feeding). 3- 4 Months PPL Training in USA $22, 000 (includes Tuition, Accommodation & Feeding). PAYMENT PLAN: Three installment payment upon student visa issuance. Initial tuition payment for CPL is $25,000 while the balance two installments are equal payments of at least three months interval. Students and their sponsors must ensure ready funds for training and must be wired to the school upon request by the School or the agent. ADMISSION & VISA STATUS: Student visa status is: F-1 for Aeronautic Engineering and M-1 for Pilot Training. The visa status for Pilot Training in South Africa is: STUDY PERMIT, valid for two years. All visa categories maybe renewed upon expiration provided no crime is committed by the student while residing in that country. To commence the processing of admission and student visa, the prospective student should come personally to our office with the following requirements: 1. International Passport valid for at least 12 months. 2. Academic Certificates. 3. Sponsors Bank Statement and Bank letter supporting bank statement. 4. Birth Certificate. 5. Pilot Medicals of N45, 000. 6. Police Character Report/Forensic Finger Prints is required for South Africa Study Permit . 7. Four colour Passport photographs, 2x2 size with white background. 8. PPK Consultancy fee and cost of international enrollment for Visa application is N320, 000 (Three Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira only). Student admission and enrollment will be processed only upon payment of the non-refundable consultancy fee. VISA APPLICATION PROCEDURE: Once international enrolment is completed and student visa documents processed and sent to the student via PPK Aviation International, the student will proceed to pay for visa fee and book student visa appointment at the Embassy to attend the visa interview with his documents from the school plus relevant local supporting documents of the sponsor(s). PPK Aviation may be of assistance only upon request in writing by the student or his/her sponsor(s). PPK Aviation usually charge consultancy fees for extra services to be rendered in relation to student visa application assistance. AGENT REFERRAL COMMISSION: As flight schools agents and also as agent to the students, PPK Aviation is by relevant laws entitled to 10% agent commission from either the flight school or the student upon issuance of the student visa or study permit. PPK Aviation represent flight schools in USA and South Africa, and usually receives her commission from the schools, that is, 10% of total package on the 1-20 or Acceptance Letter cost of training quotes from the school to the student. The student do not pay more for the training as commission is directly on the total cost of training as already agreed between the agent and the schools. Should any student insist on training in a flight school not represented by PPK Aviation, the admission and enrollment will be done, however the student will pay 10% agent commission to PPK Aviation upon issuance of visa or study permit. PAYMENT OF AGENT COMMISSION: Payment of agent commission is made upfront in Nigeria upon issuance of the student visa or study permit. The 10% is usually deducted from the first tuition installment of $25,000 (Twenty Five Thousand United States Dollars) and the balance wired to the school for flight training. The balance two installments are wired directly by the student sponsor or parents upon request by the school or the agent. Agent may also receive the balance installments and wire same to the school without deducting any commission.
