BECOMING A LEADER OF LEADERS! There is a reason why it was the woman with the issue of blood that touched the hem of Christs garment and not Peter, James nor John. You dont become a strategic leader by touching the hem of anyones garment or sleeping on a bed an anointed leader slept on and the many baseless things some practice today in Christendom, etc. You become a great leader by learning what it takes and not through unfounded superstitious practices. I was invited to Nigeria for a meeting; after speaking that night, several young men rushed to touch me; some stooped down to clean my shoe with their handkerchief, all in the name of contacting the grace on my life. I had to stop them and with all humility and sincerity, I told them leadership is quite a different ball-game; you dont become a strategic leader through such superstitious methods. Thats not how I got here and really, no one does. By faith you can receive healing from a particular ailment through such means, but not even health because the later requires much more than touching, but insight on the principles and practices of healthy leaving. Thats a side journey; lets get back to our focus. Superstition is a belief passed down from generation to generation without any substantial proof of its authenticity, but for the notion that one to two individuals had some sort of breakthrough via it. Every superstitious practice is promulgated because someone is made to believe it works and some individuals have their livelihood from its practice. Nothing destroys the craving for learning and the passion to discover Truth like superstition. Its impossible for someone who believe he can become a great leader too by touching the hem of someones garment or by shaking hands with a great leader to sit down to learn or to submit to mentorship. Thats why; the fall of several successful spiritual movements is traceable to superstitious practices they allow to take root, which destroyed the craving for the knowledge of the truth. The Disciples of Christ followed him daily, learned his ways and developed in their understanding of the kingdom; waited for the empowerment of the Holy Spirit to become the pioneering leaders they were in their days. They didnt drink the water of the pool of Bethesda nor demanded for the saliva of Christ to put inside their bathing water in order to receive the double portion of his anointing. When I write stuffs like this, I know some religious zealots think Im challenging their mythological heroes who are masters in propagating superstition in Christendom. There is nothing we can do against the truth, but for the truth. If the superstition growing in Christendom is not curbed, I fear a disaster. Religion doesnt allow people to think nor to ask critical questions for fear its mythologies would be exposed. Christ didnt bring religion, he brought truth. The Church is producing a generation with little appetite for reality and truth, but superstition. This mob of mindless people can only be transformed and empowered via the teachings of the word of truth. Nothing more! Nothing less! You dont have to sit on my seat, eat from my plate, have my frame photo in your house, wear my cloth, marry me, etc, to walk in the leadership grace Im walking in. You simply need mentor-ship via the knowledge of the truth. For three and a half years the Disciples of Christ submitted to mentor-ship by the word of truth and were transformed to pioneering leaders. This is still the most valid requirement in becoming a great leader. Someone has to baptize you into the Jordan of truth; thats what it takes. Go for it!
