BEHIND THE MASKS My latest cover photo has three people masked to cover their identities as they go about and fight the crime of Gotham City including Batman, Batgirl and Robin the Boy Wonder. Behind the masks are people with complex personal and psychological issues. The crazy thing is, that even with the masks you can still see who they are, and their eyes are not masked. Sometimes I am like that. I wear various masks to fit the occasion, hiding behind this, that and the other but most can see behind my masks and all can see into the window of my soul (my mind, my free will, my emotions). NOTE: This does not mean that people take off their masks or that they are never happy or that they dont enjoy life. There are hundreds of people that we encounter everyday who have their masks snuggly in place, but those eyes speak volumes of the hurt and anguish at times. What kicked off this mini ruminator rambling was the song by Steve Green, People Need The Lord. When I went to Africa in 2001 kept hearing this song over and over and over again in my head. I could not shake it, and then I realized, Oh, youre talking to me Lord. Well, here it is 13 years later, and the song still reverberates and people still need the Lord.
