BEHIND THE SCENES OF PUTTING TOGETHER OUR YOUR SHOT 2014 SET Our set for your shot.. was completely different to the usual. We wanted to give it everything we had- incorporating our talents, creative ideas, passion for all genres...House, progressive, RnB, Trap, Electro..etc. Our opening song Lose yourself - Eminem was purely to show the audience how much this shot meant to us, and to let them know hold onto your freaking seat belts because we are going to take you through a 25 minute whirlwind. We just used.. YO IF YOU HAD ONE SHOT ONE OPPORTUNITY WOULD YOU CAPTURE IT? OR LET IT SLIP! Remixed versions for the quick opening of TRAP MIX ROAR and HOUSE EYE OF THE TIGER were played as to say we arent backing down, before breaking into a house RnB mix of IT WONT STOP We love NERVO! SUNSHINE THROUGH RAINCLOUDS was absolutely insane, the drop to that song just is >different< and got the crowd jumping up and down! FREAKS by DIPLO STEVE AOKI was our second last song, that song just makes you want to dance.. and that was our aim for the crowd to dance.. cause thats what its all about.. mixing awesome music and seeing the crowd go insane.. we live to make the world dance. Cloe and Paige remixed PARADISE by COLD PLAY and showed off their hidden talents RAPPING as a build up before cross fading it to the MASSIVE drop from JUNGLE JIM. REECES REMIX is just... so unexpected and an amazing job KUDOS FOR REMIXING THAT GUYS. GODS was songs that represented our love for EDM great brand spankin new song at the time! And worked in well with our set. WE SCRATCHED THE DECKS BACK IN TIME AND USED WHIP IT by DEVO as a random fun drop.. as thats what Paige and Cloe are.. random, fun and dont care what anyone think. Cloe also brought something that hadnt been done in the 2014 YOUR SHOT comp showing off her singing talents- singing a verse of the house remixed version of STAND BY ME. For us we dont want to stop at being DJs. We want to produce our own written EDM Music. We wanted to show we werent afraid of playing commercial music either. Aurora is all about good music and making the crowd go insane. SO WE DROPPED INTO A HOUSE, DUB, ELECTRO MIX OF SUMMER. we also incorporated Paiges dancing talent... teaching Cloe how to dance over the 6 weeks of Your Shot to RAVE RADIOS REMIX of RATTLE SEVEN NATION ARMY.
