BEING POOR IN SPIRIT. 4 And the LORD was with Joseph, and he was a prosperous man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. (Genesis 39:2) Here is Joseph going through a bitter experience but makes a choice to keep his attitude on God. Every day we go through a test of different kinds and when the pressure is applied what kind of attitude do I cultivate? Your attitude decides your altitude. Jesus passed all His attitude tests and thats why he soared high like an eagle. Every time you fail an attitude test you end in destruction and the blessing that God had in store is stolen from you by the enemy. You might be wondering I am praying so much, fasting but why is there no result, because you have failed the attitude test. Every time you hear diverse news, you become sad and lose hope. This is because of your attitude which is based on self and not on God. When you are selfless even when you are put in the worst situation you have the attitude of love and forgiveness making the situation better. Your attitude changes your situation. Joseph walked the path of love, being on the path does not guarantee that we will not go through hardship Joseph went through many trials. Joseph had always joy though he was going through rough situation. He never lost hope and he never lost joy. Why? Because he always focused on his dream and God. If you cultivate this attitude of being selfless it doesnt mean you will not be faced with trials but the trials and meant to train you to be transformed into the image of Jesus. You may face difficult situations at a time but if you focus on Jesus , you will never lose hope and you will never lose joy. Hallelujah.
