BELIEVE AND ACHIEVE... Defeatism never accomplished anything lasting or worthwhile. But optimism, born of faith, has accomplished tremendous feats. Surprising as it is to some people, optimism born of faith has its roots in Goda word, the Bible. Consider statements such as this:For as he thinketh in his heart,so is he.. Proverbs 23:7 Men have been challenged with concepts or goals that others have said were impossible or unattainable. But they refused to believe them. With Gods help they reached them. There is a limit to what you can do naturally, but there is absolutely no limit to what can be accomplished in faith, through Gods power. Do not listen to the voice of pessimism, which says, You are trapped-you cannot do it. You might as well quit, for it cannot be done. Quietly resolve in your heart, With Gods help, Ill do what He wants me to do,and you will discover that what your mind can conceive, with Goda help, you can achieve. And whatever ye do, do it heartily,as to the Lord,and not unto men. Colossians 3:23
