BELOVED OF GOD (Nehemiah 13:26) King Solomon the son of David - TopicsExpress

BELOVED OF GOD (Nehemiah 13:26) King Solomon the son of David started on a right footing. His selfless prayer about wisdom to govern the people well at the inception of his reign endeared him to God who gave him both what he requested and what he did not - riches and fame beyond measure. However, this same Solomon, Gods beloved, became disobedient to divine directive forbidding unequal yoke in marriage. Apparently over-confident in his divinely bequeated wisdom, king Solomon went ahead to marry outlandish foreign women and that was his waterloo. Even Solomon(Neh 13:26). If it happened to the wisest man that ever lived, it can happen to any other careless, frivolous and over-confident believer. Let us therefore not take our closeness to God, past spiritual achievements, anointing, gifts, talents, wisdom or fame for granted. GOD HAS NO FAVOURATES AND HE IS NOT A RESPECTER OF PERSONS. He only honours those who honour, obey, reverence and worship Him in spirit and in truth(without hypocricy). It should also be noted that THERE IS NO ETERNAL SECURITY for sinning, rebeliious and reprobate believers. (Exodus 32:33, 1st Sam. 2:30, Ezekiel 18:24, Matthew 24:10-13, Luke 9:62, Rom. 11:17-22, 1st Corrint. 9:27, 10:1-12, 2nd Peter 2:20-22, etc). Lets therefore be careful, watchful and prayerful that we may be accounted worthy to make it to heaven eventually. His grace is sufficient for you and I. We shall make it in Jesus name, Amen.
