[BELOVED SIERRA LEONEANS] LEND ME YOUR EARS: THE EVIL THAT ANY MAN OR WOMAN DOES TO THEIR COUNTRY SHALL LIVE AFTER THEM AND GENERATIONS WILL BE JUDGED IN THE FULLEST OF TIME. A BITTER PILL TO SWALLOW THOSE WHO HAVE EARS WILL HEAR, AND WHO HAVE EYES WILL SEE. A TIME FOR JUDGEMENT THROUGH NATURAL JUSTICE SHALL BEFALL ALL..!!! WE ARE A STUBBORN PEOPLE AND REFUSING TO LEARN ANY LESSONS FROM THE NASTY WAR AS WE CONTINUE TO TREAD DOWN THE SAME PATH OF VILIFICATIONS AND GROWING HATE AND DISRESPECT FOR SOVEREIGNTY AND LEADERSHIP. THIS IS A SIGN OF A TRAUMATIZED NATION MANIFESTING FROM DAILY HABITS IN ATTITUDES AND BEHAVIOURS TO EACH OTHER AND ESPECIALLY TO LEADERS FROM VERY FACETS OF THE SOCIETY IRRESPECTIVE FROM WHICH POLITICAL DIVIDE OR CAMP. SUCH SHOULD NOT BE THE WAY FORWARD FOR ANY NATION TO PROSPER IN UNITY AND EQUITY FOR PEACE TO PREVAIL...!!! Generating falsehood and propaganda daily using the media through radios, newspapers and especially FACEBOOK promoting oxygen of insults and negativity amongst one another from the same country we now LOVE to HATE is very derogatory to each and everyone of us dignity as brothers and sisters belonging to the same country. These are worrisome signs. ARE WE REALLY PAYING ATTENTION TO THE WRITINGS ON THE WALL WHICH SEEMS TO BE POINTING TOWARDS ANARCHY BY THE DAILY ACTIONS EXHIBITED FROM ALL SIDES OF THE DIVIDE AS WELL AS STAKEHOLDERS IN THE BUREAUCRATIC SYSTEM MECHANISM OF THE COUNTRY PULLING DOWN THE PROGRESS AND DEVELOPMENT MADE, AS WELL AS THROWING THE DIGNITY AND INTEGRITY OF THE COUNTRY INTO THE GUTTER THROUGH SELFISHNESS, TRIBAL AND PARTISANSHIP ALL IN THE NAME OF POLITICS AND POWER GAME FRUSTRATING EVERY ALL EFFORTS NO MATTER HOW GENUINE AND POSITIVE IT IS IN MOVING SIERRA LEONE FORWARD....? Where are the religious leaders and elders who suppose to be the caretakers of peace and reconciliation in mama salone??? A LEADER IN EVERY FACET OF SOCIETY IS SOMEONE WHO TRAINS PEOPLE TO BE LEADERS NOT FOLLOWERS Now the country seems to be polarised through political and tribal sentiments all fighting not for the common benefits, aspirations and goals of the country but for partisan domination and succession in leadership abandoning the greater objectivity of the people of Sierra Leone sadly. I adhere to the old saying that he who refuses to learn from the past is doomed to repeat it. Recognizing mistakes or, for that matter, learning from positive examples of historical significance like the senseless war should be an important factor in decision-making for future generations. Events of the past, instead of being something to disregard, should be studied and considered carefully; future events can be altered and disastrous repeats avoided by the knowledge gained of prior events......!
