BENEFIT IN SERVING GOD 3: Hebrews 10:35-36 says,Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.1 Corinthians 15:58.Friends,Do you have the confidence to serve the Lord when He calls you? Did you know that it takes great confidence to carry out the Lords work? The confidence I am referring to is not confidence in yourself. The confidence I am referring to is confidence in the Lords ability to carry out what he has called you to do.Moses saw a burning bush in the desert and he approached the bush. As soon as he got close to the bush, the Lord began to speak to Moses. The first thing God said is, “Do not come any closer, Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.” (Exodus 3:5,). The first thing God did with Moses was reminded Moses of Gods holiness and sovereignty. That alone would have shaken anyones confidence to serve. When God calls us, we often think to ourselves, I am not worthy to serve the Lord. I am a sinner!. What we must never forget is that without Gods anointing, Moses too was a sinner and unholy. Jesus Christ wipes away your sins and uncleanliness. Through Him, you have been made holy. God gave Moses a huge task. He told Moses to go to the great Pharaoh of Egypt and command him to let Israel go free. What was Moses reply? Moses said, “Who am I that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of Egypt?” (Exodus 3:11). Moses had absolutely no confidence in himself! Im guessing that Moses was saying to himself something like this: Are you kidding me? You must have the wrong Moses! When God calls you, do you have your doubts as to whether or not you can carry out a task? Do you feel unworthy and too unholy to do what God has called you to do? Moses sure did. However, here is what God said to Moses: I will be with you (Exodus 3:12). Finally,Brethren,When you are called by God, you must have great confidence. Not in yourself, but in the Lord. When He calls you to any task, you can be assured of this: He will be with you! Philippians 4:13 says, I can do all this through him who gives me strength. You can do all things through Christ Jesus who has called you to serve.Like Moses, when God calls you to serve, we must not focus on our weakness, but on Gods strength.I pray,in all your services to God,You shall be rewarded in Jesus mighty Name! Amen. 4rm Uzoking Success Single Online Ministry.
