BEREAVEMENT NOTICE TO MEMBERS The Club regretfully announces the demise of Mr. Chrisanta Fernando our Honourable Trustee who passed away during the weekend and his funeral took place on Sunday 16th November at the General Cemetery, Kanatte. Mr. Fernando was a product of St. Joseph’s College, Colombo and an outstanding Sportsman who captained the 1st Eleven Team in Cricket. He was a Director of many reputed Companies and served on several Directorate Boards in the Corporate sector. His long stint at the CR &FC as a Member, Life Member , Trustee and Mentor whose valuable advice was always sought on many issues regarding the smooth running of the Club even during our difficult times. As a pioneer in the Jazz scene he was instrumental in organizing the Jazz Sundays which is a very popular event of the Club. He was a Gentleman par excellence, humble in his ways and a faithful friend to one and all. May his soul rest in Peace. We convey our heartfelt condolences to his bereaved family.
