BEST OF 2014 : Visual Arts Kevin Griffin Vancouver Sun Dec. 20 My list of the city’s top art exhibitions are listed chronologically and not in terms of importance. There is a mixture of exhibitions at big galleries and smaller ones, public and private. I have to say that judging from the exhibitions I saw, the art world in Vancouver was vibrant and exciting in 2014 Thru The Trapdoor A unique one-of-a-kind exhibition by artistic director Paul Wong and producer Rick Erickson, Thru the Trapdoor took place in the basement of 1965 Main. In a rabbit-warren of 603 sq. m of corridors and cubicles, more than 50 artists exhibited and performed works. It was an art exhibition, party, journey and total experience. It was the first exhibition where I got lost wandering around art.
