BETHESDA MISSION (part 6) In part 5 we talked about THE APOSTASY or FALLING AWAY, and I now see IT as a falling away from RELIGIOUS DECEPTION, Religion makes excuses, and tickles mens ears, and tells them what THEY want to hear so that THEY can become a part of the institutions agenda, and build the institution. There was a good article on APOSTASY WATCH about ELEVATION CHURCH in Charlotte, and how they plainly state that the congregation serves Steve Furticks vision; see how the sheep are there to serve an individuals agenda?? This is a very subtle deception, and without knowing THE WORD it actually sounds pretty good. Saul, was pricked in his heart by Stephens message, and on the Damascus Road Jesus told him, It would be better for you not to kick against the pricks. He ask THE LORD,What would thou have me do? We know that he changed direction right there, and instead of going to kill Christians for RELIGIONS sake, and thinking he was doing GOD SERVICE, he went an entirely different direction. I think in the HISTORICAL CONTEXT of Saul who wrote the II Thess. 2 passage after his name was changed to Paul that we have to at least consider the merit of this interpretation.
