BEWARE OF EXCUSES A man had two sons; when they both wrote exams, the two sons failed. When their father asked them why they failed the exam, one of the two sons said, “Daddy I did my best but the teachers hate me, that is why they failed me.” The second son said, “Daddy I’m sorry for my poor performance, I have realized my mistakes. I promise never to repeat such failure.” The man (Their father) said, “You that claimed to have done your best but claim that you were failed by teachers that hated you, I will withdraw you from school because you have not even admitted your errors. It means you will still repeat the failure.” He told the other one that he will do his best to make sure he trains him to any level of education he wanted. When the boy who admitted his errors resumed school the following term and they wrote exam; he took the third position. After then he became a first class student till he finished schooling. Attitude or will-power makes the difference. When you eliminate your excuses, you have already discovered the true secret to success in whatever journey of life because progress is made each time you admit error on your journey to success. “Not making excuses does not mean that one does not have them.”
