BEWARE OF VISIONS Early in the week I encountered a young man - TopicsExpress

BEWARE OF VISIONS Early in the week I encountered a young man from Papua who wanted to relate to me his “visions”. I had to kindly let him know I was not interested. He then went on to justify himself by stating, “Did not Jesus say young men will have dreams?” I shared with him Jesus never said this, but it was the prophet Joel. He responded, All words in the Bible come from God, that’s what I meant to say! To twist words to suit one’s meaning is not only dangerous but satanic. Satan used this very tactic in order to corrupt the understanding of Adam and Eve resulting in the mess we’re now encountering. Do you not think for a moment he would stop especially since he was so successful, not only in the Garden of Eden but in Heaven, too? What many are doing today, and we were warned, what is the simple result of eating too much food or the wrong food prior to sleeping, may be the result of an active mind, while sleeping, and with the right touch from satan would be the catalyst of thinking themselves of having a vision worthy of sharing with others. While I am not one to discount visions from happening, I do believe all we need, as a church, have been given by the prophet to the church and if there is anything further to be presented to God’s people will follow proper channels of credibility than to attempt to share by such social media as Facebook. Weve already seen instances where some have claimed to be Christ. There is even one man here in the Philippines who makes the claim of having read so many versions of the Bible, knowing it thoroughly and challenges anyone to ask him a question and he will provide the “biblical” answer. Well, this sounds like someone else I know and I try to stay away from him as much as possible! However, should I have the one opportunity of asking a question it would be: “Why then do you not keep the Sabbath?” This text found in Isaiah, “To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.” Isaiah 8:20 (KJV) is my personal guide whenever I am confronted with those who wish to tell me a vision or provide “new light”. This same verse echoes Revelation 12:17, “And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” Rev 12:17 (KJV) There can be no confusion, my friends, regarding this important point. God’s last day church will be strict followers of the “(Ten) Commandments of God”, and will testify of Christ. Isaiah when he wrote only knew of the “law” which was also called the “testimony”, and this was the Ten Commandments, which upon everything should be based and when we’ve taken it upon ourselves to twist the meanings stating it means something other than what is written, weve placed ourselves upon a foundation which is not supported, by God, and we become easily deceived by the one who is called the, great deceiver. The Bible states when this happens, God will step back and allow those who wish to travel in this route to be under a delusion. There’s no convincing a deluded individual of truth especially when they’re under the belief their delusion is the truth. I like this quotation: “Satan will work ingeniously, in different ways and through different agencies, to unsettle the confidence of God’s remnant people in the true testimony. He will bring in spurious visions to mislead, and will mingle the false with the true, and so disgust people that they will regard everything that bears the name of visions as a species of fanaticism; but honest souls, by contrasting false and true, will be enabled to distinguish between them”. So, beware of those who desire to speak with you about something they’ve dreamt. My advice to them would simply be: “eat that dinner a little earlier!”
