BEWARE computer friends!! Just received a call from a TEXAS number - 956-702-8570. Gentleman had a strong foreign accent. He said he was from Window Support and that my computer was sending out virus and that I needed to go to it immediately and he would tell me how to make it stop!! WELL, thanks to supporting the IT Group for several years I immediately became suspicious (with good reason)!!! I basically blew him off, he told me he was going to disable my computer and hung up on me - well as you can see Im still on here!!! I have since googled the number and found NUMEROUS complaint about getting these types of calls from this number. DO NOT GO TO YOUR COMPUTER AND DO NOT DO WHAT HE IS TELLING YOU!!!! Reports are it locks you out of your computer and he will take it over!! He can then access it and get all your important information off. If youve fallen into this....plus unhook from internet and consult help NOW!!! BEWARE lots of bad people out there!!! PLEASE WARN your friends and family -- especially the elderly that tend to believe these callers!!!!
