BFFLRRPC Meeting May 28 An update on the Black Forest Community Picnic will highlight the next Black Forest Fire Long Range Recovery Planning Committee meeting scheduled for May 28. El Paso County Commissioner Darryl Glenn, Chair of BFFLRRPC, will host the meeting from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, at The Charles Brown Transportation & Environmental Complex at 3255 Akers Drive. The meeting will also have reports from the following subcommittees: A. Citizen Service Support Requests to El Paso County B. Regional Building/Development Services Department C. Status of Infrastructure Repairs and Construction in the Black Forest Fire Burn Area D. Status of Capital and Maintenance Projects in Progress in the Black Forest Fire Burn Area E. Status of County Participation in Community Volunteer Activities in the Black Forest Fire Burn Area The community picnic is 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., on Wednesday, June 11, at Black Forest Regional Park. Live music, food, ice cream and children’s activity have been planned. The purpose of the Long Range Recovery Planning Committee is to oversee El Paso County’s participation in the recovery, restoration and rebuilding efforts within the Black Forest burn area.
