BHMS vs Crisp County February 25, 2014 The canes traveled to Cordele to face Crisp County for the first time this season. The format for play was two sets of six with a possible ten point tiebreaker after split sets. The girls won by the score of 3-2 and the boys lost by the score of 1-4. Winning for the girls: #2 single Sarah Braddy won 6-3/6-4 #3 single Raines Evans won 4-6/8-6 TB 10-5 # 1 doubles team Shay Phillips/Sara Anderson won 6-0/6-4 Winning in extra doubles: Gloria McCrimmon/Idali Ayala won 6-3 Lexie Chaney/Madelyn Massee won 6-4 Shania Darden/Sara Anderson won 6-2 Winning for the boys: #3 single Shiv Patel won 6-2/6-3 and is a perfect 3-0 on the season. Winning in extra doubles: Austin Yarbrough/Kyle Kinnett won 6-1. The boys are 1-1 overall and 0-1 in the South Middle Tennis League The girls are 1-1 overall and 1-0 in the South Middle Tennis League The canes had both matches postponed due to rain last week. The Turner County match will be made up tomorrow as the canes travel to Turner for a doubleheader. The Irwin match will be made up in a double header at home on March 17th. All matches begin at 4:00pm.
