BIBLE STUDY RECAP: Tonights study began where we left off last Wednesday, which was all about words and how we may use them on, at, and to each other, as church members and/or as Christians as a whole. Then we discussed how everywhere Jesus went, He always attracted a crowd. How did He do it? What words did He use? Simple. Whatever He did, whatever He said - it was all in Love and He showed Love to everyone, sinners too. So of course He was the center of attention, why, well because, Jesus created an atmosphere of acceptance, ANYONE, could come to Him, and they did. What does this mean for us today? God presents every opportunity for us to establish and maintain a relationship with Him and to have genuine brotherly Love for each other. However, some of us, even at Western Avenue Baptist Church, to satisfy self first, put conditions on who and how to love. That is not Gods way. Ephesians 5:1-2 say it this way...Follow God’s example, therefore, as dearly loved children and walk in the way of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. Its okay to show love and fellowship with unsaved sinners who come to church, because of course, we were once unsaved sinners too, and now, still sinners, just saved by Gods grace and mercy.
