BICYCLE SAFETY GUIDELINES AND TIPS FOR THE CITY OF EASTVALE Posted Date: 9/17/2014 4:00 PM All the Eastvale school sites are back in session and this is a perfect time to remind parents and students about bicycle safety. Congestion around the school sites is something that the City of Eastvale, Corona Norco Unified School District (CNUSD) and the Riverside County Sheriffs Department continue to revise and hone in order to improve the transportation needs of the community. Educating our youth about the safest bicycling procedures is critical to their success and wellbeing around the school sites. According to Bike Safe California, bicycle safety on the road depends on five essential bicycling skills that can significantly reduce your risk of injury. These five skills build on each other, starting with the most basic skill that offers the most protection. Each skill lays a foundation for the next. These are layers of protection and with each skill mastered bicyclists add another layer of protection and prevention. Bicyclists will be safest when they understand and master all five skills and put them into practice each time they ride.
