BIG DADDYS PERFECT POKER DIP...I have been perfecting this cheese dip wrecipe for some time...I started making it years ago for a weekly poker game...When I was a manager for HEB I would invite the night stock crew over to my house Thursday nights to play poker and that is how it got its name..Thursday was payday, so I would win all their money guaranteeing that would have to come back to work for at least another week...a shrewd business move on my part.. So, pictured here is all you need to make the perfect cheese dip and the pefect process...Assisting me is my grandson, Jacob Daniel Parsons..Now if you dont have a child or grandchild to help, I can rent you one of mine...Ive got plenty of them. First you pour a 28 oz can of Rotel into a large pot and set on low heat...Take a 2 lb box of Velveeta 2% milk cheese spread and cut it into triangles...Place the cheese chunks on top of the heated Rotel and allow to simmer and melt slowly...This will aerate and fluff the cheese for the proper consistency... Meanwhile brown a 1 lb package of Jimmy Deans Sage flavored sausage in a pan...I have tried other meats and sausages over the years but this one is the best...No need to drain the fat...There isnt much and we all know that is where the flavor is.. Be sure to cook thoroughly to avoid any chance of unwanted visits to the pot-pourri after eating... Stir the melted cheese and then add a 10 oz can of Tasty Classics Cream of Jalapeno soup...Put the mixture into a crock pot, mix in the sausage and voila...Pour the dip over your favorite chips and you have the pefect crunchy munchie busting treat for watching Longhorn football...Julios corn totilla chips are one of the best because of their dipability and taste... Be sure to share with family and friends..And wash it all down with your favorite beverage...Oh, and dont forget the Blue Bell Ice Cream.. HOOK EM HORNS !!! and always wremember to wrock and wroll and wrecipe wresponsibly....wrecks (rex)
