BIG DAY, FOLKS!!… after 7 years as a K-6 art teacher, I have decided to fly in the face of the ol’ cliche and quit my day job to focus on photography. This is a bit of a roll of the dice, since I’m not leaving one salaried position for another... but hey, sometimes you gotta take chances, right? Since the lion’s share of my photography gigs are on weekends, I’ll be able to continue spending most weekdays with Vivienne teaching her about composition, depth of field, & how to use Adobe Lightroom. It will be a much more productive student-teacher ratio... bonus: she’s super adorable. I have made some great friends at Apollo School, and will certainly miss seeing them on a regular basis, but we’ll stay in touch. I will also miss most (yes, most) of the sweet and diverse group of kids I was able to work with... hopefully I have had a positive impact on their lives along the way. Sooooo, since my new career is one based on referrals, I’d be very appreciative of anyone willing to share the link to my website. And if you know anyone getting hitched or looking for portrait/lifestyle sessions that would like my artsy-with-a-dash-of-fartsy style, please feel free to refer them to my work. Jennifer & I love an excuse to travel, so I’ll shoot a wedding pretty much anywhere.
