BIG FOIL A VIDEO PERFORMANCE IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROJECT BIG FOIL : https://facebook/photo.php?v=691861550856616 The project of Sergey Borovskogo BIG FOIL Saint-Petersburg, Central exhibition hall Manege, small hall, Graphic Cabinet Vernissage may 11, 2013 at the Embankment of Griboedov channel 103 Finisar 22 may Curators: Alexander Garth (St. Petersburg) Irina Polozova (Lipetsk) Model - Light Georgieva Technical support - Paul Zuganov Photo - James Of Kalmens, Sergey Andreev, Irina Polozova, Light Georgieva Information and moral support: Valeriy Valran (Russian Museum), Maria Gusevskaya (The Museum of modern art Erarta), Nina Kostyleva (Museum Peter and Paul fortress) THE CONCEPT OF THE PROJECT, MOST FOIL Basic elements of the project are three main components. This is, in fact, 1 PRINTS (BODY PRINT) on the foil, paper, tissue paper and fabric arise in the process of performance); 2 picturesquely-dynamic, three-dimensional action-performance - which is a better understanding of graphics and painting of the plane in the area of motion, dynamics, corporeality, spatial movements, currents and dripping paint and color; 3 fleeting arising and disappearing abstract painting on the body. All this is recorded video and photo shooting and can be reused in other exhibition projects. The first keyword - PRINT. The second key word is the light. It consists also of three components: 1 this foil (used as the main element and the media easel painting and graphic images) - foil, shiny, reflective, casting bunnies; 2 cellophane, dominating in the decoration of space and a tool and a part of interactive communication with the audience (the audience go brilliant stained with oil paint cellophane, carry on his feet paint, leave their marks); 3 and this is a living model shining pagan nudity in the shamanic Neolithic action performance. Additional material in the body of the project is paper (Kraft and Wallpaper and fabric (woven cloth). They actively participate in the campaign, and become carriers of prints along with the main carrier - foil, and remain on display (dirty in the process of performance) as one of the environment-forming elements. Available in space, furniture and equipment (etching machine, computer tables, shelves with tools) fits perfectly to the body of the project and is also part of the installation. Thus, I would like to consider the project as a TOTAL INSTALLATION. In the project there are two pairs of matching elements: foil - cellophane, and paper - cloth. The dead and the living matter. Synthetic/metal. And articles of live material (wood) - paper and fabric. It is a cause for allusions and thought, by shifting meanings in the field of philosophy and esoteric. The prints of a human body, on the one hand, beautiful because of its brutal calling, arbitrary colorful masonry, on the other hand - they graphic and documentary because of their origin, authenticity and uniqueness. For me is clearly traced the mental connection between the plaster casts of antique and presents the printed sheets. Both ersatz, due to the banality of their origin, and in both cases represent only a distorted images of something not foreseeable more meaningful. Thus, the project contains, in my opinion, somewhat ironic allusion to the extensive historical area, which can be described by the words Paleolithic, archaic, antique and, at the same time, is a product from the category of copies, surrogates, reproductions - that is quite authentic modernity. This duality represents the ambiguity of reading and a wide discourse, both historical and contemporary periods. Some discussion and private opinions: ack-stringer.livejournal/63730.html
