BIG SWAMP NEWS: Good afternoon from the Big Swamp and sure hope everyone is off to a great weekend. I always try to post positive news anymore but today Im afraid it is just the opposite. Ive already been down this road one time before and that was a couple of years ago. Last Sunday Dan and I went by the Gardens of Faith Cemetery to visit my Mama, Daddy, Grandparents and many other of my families graves. The Cemetery was in horrible shape and looked like a long lost graveyard on the other side of the back 40 that had been long forgotten. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and today visited again and it was even worse. The tall grass, weeds, fire ant beds and no sign of a weed eater in a very long time. This is just wrong that our families graves are being neglected and apparently Revels Funeral home that bought the cemetery some time ago doesnt care. A friend of mine called to complain and was greeted with a horrible attitude and I wont even go in to all the extreme nasty remarks that were made to her and she has two children and other family members buried there.. Ill leave that up to her to tell you but I can assure you that I will not sit idle and watch this happen and neither will she. You want to get on the bad side of me then mess with my family even in death. I am and I will be their mouth piece because when the Plots were purchased, perpetual care was included in the deeds. I will not sit by and see, not just my family but others being taken advantage of by Revels doing nothing.. Im going to ask anyone that has family buried there to please join me in my quest to get this taken care of ..Our love ones final resting place deserves so much more than this folks, so just be warned the Swamp Queen is on the warpath and this is just a start...So until next time from the Big Swamp....
