BIG WIN FOR THE CATS! The Bobcats respond and snap a two game loosing streak in Sherwood Park with a 3-1 victory over the Crusaders. Kevin Darrar would kick off the scoring 53 seconds into the hockey game, beating the Crusaders goaltender to the fivehole. The Cats and Crusaders would exchange chances but it would be a 1-0 game for the Cats after 20 minutes of play. The Crusaders would get on the board first in the 2nd period tying the game up at 1 a piece. But it would be Brett Everson on a Point Gray Power Play who made it 2-1 with his 8th of the year, assist going to Springer. The Bobcats would start the 3rd off on the man advantage and make no mistake as Darrar with his 2nd of the night and 14th of the year, an absoloiute snipe to the blocker side. Green would stand tall in net making 29 saves for the win. The Cats now have 24 wins and 53 points holding onto 2nd place in the North. Back in action at the Civic Center on Friday January 9th, against the 1st place Spruce Grove Saints! Hope to see everyone out, as it is the first game back in Lloyd for over 3 weeks!
