BIGGEST HINDU TEMPLE can search by Google with more details.... Not everyone was sanguine about the rise of the temple in this quiet New Jersey township. As with many communities across U.S, local citizenry expressed unease at the arrival of noisy construction crews, further anticipating loud sermons, unwarranted traffic, and other problems. In an effort to win them over, BAPS volunteers kept them updated, and towards the final stages of construction, invited them for a sneak peek of the temple and its plans to serve the greater community, a sense of which they had got when many of them sheltered on its premises during Hurricane Sandy. It was jaw-dropping moment for them when they say the structure, says Trivedi; as they filed out, one of them said if this is what you folks have been up to, we can live with a little noise. Over the weekend though, with local eminence grises (including a Senator and a Congressman) in attendance, the noise will reach a crescendo as devotees from across the world take the idols in a procession and install them, bringing to life yet another Indian spiritual outpost in the west.
