BIKES AND TOOLS STOLEN FROM KIRKBY SHEDS Six garden sheds were targeted in the north of Kirkby-in-Ashfield on Wednesday and Thursday night (22 and 23 January 2015). Bikes and tools were taken in burglaries in Raymond Close, Orchid Close and Grangewood Road, whereas sheds were damaged but nothing was taken in Heather Close, Summerfield Road and Burnside Close. Officers believe the offenders could be getting to and from the scenes of their crimes on pedal bikes after two suspicious incidents were also reported in the area. A description given is of a slim, white man in his late teens/early 20s, who is around 6ft 2ins tall with stubble. Secure your shed door with a quality padlock and preferably add grills to any windows. Use shed alarms were possible and chain large items like bikes and lawnmowers together so they are more difficult to move. Mark your property, take photos and record serial numbers and register them at immobilise, and make sure your home insurance extends to the items kept in your sheds and garages. If you know who is responsible or have any information call us on 101, quoting incident 135 of 23 January 2015, or phone Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
