BILLS AND MOTIONS SPONSORED BY ME AT THE SENATE. The primary duty of a legislator is law making. In less than two months into the hallowed Chambers, I sponsored a motion that was resoundingly supported by almost every senator. The motion called for rapid action by the federal government to decongest entrance routes to the federal capital territory, Abuja from neighbouring States eg KEFFI-ABUJA. LOKOJA-GWAGWALADA-ABUJA AND KADUNA-SULEJA-ZUBA ROADS. The motion urged the FCT to partner with lateral States to open additional and alternative routes to the city. I also sponsored several bills and motions which includes; 1. Energy Commission Act (Amendment) Bill, 2013 2. Federal Highways Act (Amendment) Bill, 2013 3. National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) (Amendment) Bill, 2013 4. National Institute for Sports Act (Amendment) Bill, 2013 5. Economic and Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) (Amendment) Bill, 2013 6. Bill for an act to repeal the National Economic Intelligence committee, 2013 7. FCT satellite towns development Agency bill, 2013 8. Call for review of national planning and budgetary process, motion. 2013 9. Need to investigate the recent crash of naval augusta 109 helicopter, motion. 2012 10. Matter of national public importance on the killing of students in mubi, Adamawa state. Motion. 11. Police service commission act 2000 (Amendments) Bill, 2012 12. FCT board of internal revenue bill, 2012. 13. National automotive design and development council, Establishment bill, 2012 14. The dwindling state of Nigeria football; The need for decisive action to reclaim its lost glory. Motion. 2012. 15. Plight of pensioners of the federal government of Nigeria. Motion. 2011 16. The Plight of persons awaiting trial in Nigeria prisons. Motion. 2011 17. The Nigeria industrial, promotion and incentives, Bill. 2011 18. Chartered institute of securities and investment Establishment bill, 2011. To crown it all, my motion on THE INCESSANT KILLING AND MAIMING OF INNOCENT BENUE INDEGENES, THE ATTACK AND KILLINGS IN PLATEAU, KADUNA, NASARAWA STATES BY FULANI HEARDSMEN is a case in point where me and my colleagues in the affected States not only cause the Senate to send a fact finding team to the affected areas, the motion also jolted the federal government into action as troops were quickly dispatched to the states in question and the provision of relief materials to the displaced persons by NEMA.
