BINGO HAS A NEW HOME Jefferson, WI—November 5, 2014 The Council for the Performing Arts’ Monday night Bingo will be played at Fairview Sports Bar & Grill, located at 711 W. Racine St., Jefferson beginning Monday, November 10, 2014. Paper sales will begin at 5 pm and the first call will begin at 6 pm. The Progressive Jackpot Bingo game will begin at approximately 7:45 pm and will start with 48 calls and a $400 prize. Bingo sheets can be purchased for $5.00 per 3-on pack or 50 cents for each single sheet. Progressive game sheets can be purchased for $3.00 per 3-on pack or $1.00 for a single sheet. Additional items for purchase each week include Wisconsin Lottery Pulltabs at 50 cents each and 50/50 Raffle tickets at one dollar each. All games are regulated by the State of Wisconsin. Persons 10-18 years old must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Each week the Progressive Jackpot isn’t won, the current amount, plus half of that night’s card sales for the game, gets rolled into the following week’s jackpot. In addition, the number of calls increases by one in each succeeding weekly game until the jackpot is won. If no player wins the Progressive Jackpot, that evening’s game will continue for a consolation prize of $100. The Council for the Performing Arts (CPA), a non-profit organization, has been hosting Monday night Bingo for several years in the Jefferson area. For the past three years, it has been been played at Rox Bar in Jefferson. Two weeks ago, Mike and Chris Punzel announced that they would be closing Rox and relocating to Fort Atkinson, therefore, they could no longer donate the space to the CPA. Bingo has served as a primary fundraiser for the CPA and it was important that another location be found. Vicki Blasing, owner of Fairview Sports Bar & Grill offered to donate her facility so that the games could continue. It was a fitting close to the CPA Bingo games at Rox this past Monday as the Progressive jackpot, which had grown to over $3,100 was won.
