BIOGRAPHY Granville Hogg is a life-long resident of Northampton County. Granville was raised in Bayview, attended Cape Charles and Northampton County Schools. He has hunted and fished most everywhere in Northampton County. Other than for his time away at school and serving his county, Mr. Hogg has resided in Northampton County for a total of 66 years. In 1972, after serving in the United States Air Force and graduating with a degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Mercer County College, he furthered his career in surveying by performing valuable service at Shore Engineering Company in Melfa, Virginia. In 1974, he established Granville Hogg Land Surveyors in Northampton County which provides surveying services throughout Northampton and Accomack Counties as well as other regions of Virginia and Eastern Maryland. Since 1972 Granville has completed a Virginia Certified Land Surveyors Apprenticeship program, attended Old Dominion University, Christopher Newport University and the Eastern Shore Community College taking several advanced courses in Stormwater Management, Environmental Management, and Water Systems. He currently resides at 3125 Bluff Court, Cape Charles, Virginia 23310 with his wife of 20 years, Gwendolyn Coghill. Granville’s various private business interests include: agricultural, aquaculture, residential housing, land development and aviation interests in Northampton County. Mr. Hogg holds numerous certifications and licenses which include: Land Surveyor, Real Estate Agent, and Commercial Airplane Pilot. Mr. Hogg recently completed service to the County as an inaugural member of the County’s Public Sewer Authority board. As a life-long resident, local Surveyor, landowner and business man, Granville Hogg knows this County like few others.
