BIRBHUM - ALLEGED LABHPUR GANG RAPE UPDATE : FACING THE MUSIC OF TRUTH Firstly let me inform you all that all TV channels, national (both English & Hindi) and local - have taken off the issue from the screen. WHY? Why they became so cool so quickly, although The Supreme Court suo motu intervened in it? For your information, at the hot spot Subalpur village today there was media-mela. Reporters and photographers of all media houses camped there. In spite of that WHY no news on screen this evening? Because all are now facing the MUSIC OF TRUTH including all anti Hindu secularists. NOW THE FACTS Reported by our team that visited Subalpur and Bolpur (Sub divisional HQ with SDJM court) today (25 Jan) : On January 20 evening at about 7 pm, the tribal girl and Khalek Seikh were caught in indecent/objectionable position by the villagers. In that house, the girl and her mother live. Her brothers dont live with them. They live elsewhere. That evening her mother was not in house. Villagers, after catching the couple red handed, informed the village elders. Then they were tied with a tree. Everybody were concerned. Hence, about 400 villagers, all tribals gathered and stayed there for whole night. Villagers abused the couple. Next morning, i.e. on 21 Jan, that Salishi Sabha held. The judgement delivered and it was written on paper. On it - it is written that in this dispute, 1st side/party is the villagers and 2nd side/party is Khalek Seikh. The fine of Rs.25,000.00 was slapped. But that is not written in the judgement. It was verbal. At about 10.30 am, Khaleks elder brother Seikh Farookh along with local TMC panchayat member Ajay Mandal, came there, gave the money and took away his brother Khalek. On the judgement paper, this has been written that Khalek has been freed and handed over to Farookh. At that time, the girl too was freed becoz the Sabha was satisfied with the fine. Friends, it was 21st Jan. about 10.30 am. Then after, the girl was normal, roamed in the village normally. Next day, on 22 Jan too, up to about 2 pm. she was normal. Then she went to Labhpur Police Station to lodge the complaint - PLZ NOTICE IT - riding on her own bicycle. Date - 22nd January. The distance is 7 km. from the village. At 3.45 pm the FIR was lodged. Then at about 6.00 pm, a team of police force came to the village, booked 4 persons and took them to police station. Villagers were extremely aggrieved. So, in a large number they went to Labhpur PS by 3 tractors that night to free those 4 persons. Police officers behaved with them gently. The officer told them that a case has been registered in the name of 13 persons (12 tribal, 1 non tribal Hindu). Police identified the rest 9 persons. Separated them from others, and told the villagers that they (police) would solve the matter mutually. Hence the villagers should go back to their village. Police assured them that next morning all booked persons would be freed. Innocent villagers believed this in good faith without any hint that next morning the sky would fall on their heads. Even they did not know that the girl was already sent to local Labhpur rural hospital, and then to Suri District Hospital. This is the story of the hapless tribal villagers. Perhaps only god is with them. All civil society, modern progressives, secularists are with the married Khalek Seikh who has children. I am outside civil society bcoz I am a branded Hindu communalist. So, I am with these tribal people. Ive witnessed their suffering, exploitation, molestation and rape of their women in Basanti, Sandeshkhali, Gangarampur, Mohammadbazar and now in Labhpur. Still today I take care of Mamoni Mandi of Sonakhali (Basanti) who was raped by Rafikul Laskar in the year 2000. I witnessed and still I have to see many many more such poor ST/SC girls and women whose names I cannot recollect. Some records are kept in my ill equipped inefficient office. Tomorrow 26 Jan. a big meeting of the tribal people will be held at Angargaria village on this issue. Our HS representative will be present there. by Tapan Ghosh
