BIRDMAN: Did I like it? I didnt not like it, but I had some issues with it. #1. Everyone is a dick, theres no one to sympathise with, therefore theres no one to connect with, therefore no one to care about. Do I care what happens to Michael Keatons character? No, I cant even remember his characters name. #2 Soundtrack- those f**king drums! I began to think I was in a really bad mash up of Whiplash (Which I think may be a much better film) #3 Everyone is SO intent on being seen to be an actor. you can see them working so hard. Ed Norton was the best of a bad bunch, but they all wanted to be real and gritty and it just showed. #4 The camera, I know it wasnt all one shot, but it was filmed to give that impression. Theres an over whelming desire by the film maker to keep the camera moving Its rarely still and that made me a little queazy. The Number one question I present myself with, after Ive watched ANY fil; Would I go see it again? In this instance, the answer is…. NO, Im giving it it 4/10
