BIRDPEN - NEW ALBUM, PLEDGE AND TOUR DATES!! Following on from the successful European tour in early 2014 BirdPen are straight back with a new album. ‘In The Company Of Imaginary Friends’ is BirdPen’s 3rd full studio album. It was written, recorded, produced and mixed by duo Dave Pen and Mike Bird. This album sees the writing concept of reaching out for freedom in an ever out-of control spiralling world. The freedom of mountains and feeling alive, the tempting pendulum of escape through false substance, voices in your head, the questioning of your own sanity asking yourself “am I going mad?” Finding your lifeline that gets you through it all and the ultimate outcome of “you get one life and then you’re dead”. Following the release the band will be hitting the road again this autumn 2014 touring Europe in Germany, Switzerland, France, Belgium, Czech Republic, Italy, UK, The Netherlands and Sweden. BirdPen are a self financed outfit and are working with Pledge music to release this album. Having a great rapport with their fans over the years, they see this outlet as a good way to link this album closely to their fanbase. The album is due for release early October 2014.
