EVENTS: 1951: A meeting of the Working Committee of the Sindh Hari Committee is held at Hyderabad with Hyder Bux Jatoi in chair. The meeting discussed the decision taken by Sindh Muslim League meeting held at Larkano with special reference to abolition of Jageerdari system in Sindh. The meeting resolved that the said decision is clear dodging people and neither Muslim League, nor its Government is serious in abolition of Jageerdari system. 1972: An official Indian list with names of 55,000 Prisoners of war [POWs] is handed over to Pakistan. 1980: ‘President Fund’ for ‘Afghan Refugees’ is set up by the Pakistan Government. The decision attracted more people from Afghanistan to migrate to Pakistan and due to this act some terrorists also found hide outs for themselves in Pakistan. 1984: Zia-ul-Haq claims that Benazir Bhutto is released on her own request. 1992: U.S Senator Pressler tells newsmen in Islamabad that no U.S aid to Pakistan unless it rolls back its nuclear program.
