DEATHS: Ghulam Hyder ‘Kausri’ (Poet/1957). EVENTS: 1920: The weekly ‘Al-Amin’ of Hyderabad carries detailed report on the 1st Sindh Khilafat Conference held at Hyderabad . The paper was edited by Shaikh Abdul Majeed Sindhi. This Conference was presided over by Moulana Ghulam Ahmad Malkani and it was a big political event in the history of Hyderabad city.(Source: Al-Amin, Hyderabad). 1921: Jan Muhammad Junijo reaches Peshawar to proceed to Kabul. He is called as ‘Rais-ul-Muhajreen’ means the Head/Leader of Sindhi migrants. The decision of Sindh Khilafat for encouraging people to migrate to Afghanistan was a political mistake. It was Sindh only that took hundred per cent part in the ‘Migration Movement’. The Movement not only dislocated hundreds of families but, set a bad example for others. Sindh witnessed migration of people after 1947 at large scale. 1941: A public meeting is held at Dokri by the local branch of Muslim League. It offers congratulations to Mir Bandeh Ali Talpur for joining Muslim League. In the end a resolution id passed demanding appointment of Dr.Daudpoto as permanent Director Public Instructions, Sindh.
