EVENTS: 1916: Jethmal of the Firm of ‘Rathomal & Sons’ is arrested at Port Saeed on information received from Hongkong that he had been engaged in the Indian revolutionary movement in the Far East. He had harboured in Canton members of the Gadar Prty returning to India from America. His house was searched and some suspicious documents containing references to the Turks and German and prophecies of the defeat of British and their expulsion from India were found. This be kept in mind that Sindh Workis played vital role in freedom movement and helped and supported movement in so many ways such as in funding, secret communication and transportation. On this day and date 24 are killed and 50 injured as two bombs go off in Hyderabad.
