BIRTH OF ASPIRATIONAL INDIA We have traveled a long way down the lane from the day we became independent. The social reforms introduced before and after independence abated our sufferings to a great extent. Hindsight in the past showcases a completely transformed scenario which is an amalgamation of wanted and unwanted elements. Our nation stands firmly in the list of one of the most rapidly developing nations in the world. With the considerable increase in the quantity and quality of living, India now faces a tortuous challenge to meet the relentless demands of citizens. Be it the demand for better health care facilities, job opportunities, better living standards, etc., Indian citizens are wanting more and more to satisfy their expectations. Aspirational India has been born, this is evident from the change in the indomitable government ruling over for more than a decade. Being a citizen of India , my aspirations are somewhat predisposed towards gender equality. Women education, empowerment and encouraging law reforms for safety of women are requirements of healthy nation. The efforts made so far to reach the aforesaid goals are however diminished by the loopholes that still prevail. I just wish that with the birth of aspirational India, the ways to reach this objective will be unveiled. Though women are not dominating numbers in population census, the growth of India as a developed nation is impossible without emancipation of women. Happy Independence Day.. :) :)
