BISHOP IKEAKOR PREACHING ON THE 11 BLESSINGS OF TRUE WORSHIP Bishop Ikeakor has outlined 11 benefits that accrue to people who worship God in truth and in spirit. He made this revelation while preaching at the thanksgiving service to conclude the 5th Amichi Diocesan Women conference held at St. Stephen’s Church, Osumenyi on Sunday 28th July, 2013. Taking his text from Isaiah 58, the Bishop outlined the following as the benefits that comes to those who worship God in spirit and in truth: “ The light of God will break forth in their darkest place, divine healing shall be their portion, the glory of God shall be their security, answers to their prayers are guaranteed, divine guidance and direction will not elude them, their prosperity will come even in the midst of scarcity, God shall strengthen their lives and everything they do, their blessings and prosperity will never be seasonal, God shall grant them restoration of wasted years and opportunities, they shall be blessing and relief to others and hall be exalted above their contemporaries”. Bishop Ikeakor condemned the attitude of some people in the church who practice wickedness and still call upon God. “There are those who use diabolic means to keep others in bondage yet they are in the church worshiping God. For your worship to be accepted as true worship, he must desist from that kind of life”. He further called on Christian mothers to apply equity and fairness in the treatment of their house helps. He regretted that some mothers have perfected the acts of giving adequate care and treatment to their biological children to the detriment of other house aides. Bishop Ikeakor called on Christians to develop the culture of taking care of the less privileged in the society.
