BISMILLAHI RAHMANIRAHIM Assalamualikum w.w We should look for and work on our own faults. Its a lifelong process. But that shouldnt stop us from fulfilling our obligation of enjoining the good and forbidding the evil when we see it. We cannot wait until we perfect ourselves because we will never achieve perfection. And if we wait till we are perfect, we will never enjoin the good and forbid the evil. In fact, claiming to reach perfection can destroy your deeds and intentions, because that leads to pride and arrogance. Yet we should avoid hypocrisy and do our utmost best to obey Allah and His messenger ﷺ (eg: someone doesnt wear hijab but they keep telling you to wear it - now, the point theyre making isnt wrong, because their message is calling to obey Allah - but, its better that the person calling to it, also fulfills the obligation) - I see the point that appearance (like wearing full hijab) doesnt necessarily mean they are religious. That is true. However, keep in mind the difference is that the one in correct hijab (male and female) is protecting the public life from fitnah (eg: they are less likely to influence the society to zina and indecency, and less likely to influence other people to not fulfill that obligation of hijab) Also, the sins of the ones in correct hijab (male and female) would more likely remain private: whereas the one who doesnt uphold correct hijab (male and female), are directly affecting and influencing the public life. - This can lead to normalising our disobedience to our obligations. Such as seeing a sister in no hijab, can over time, show society its normal to not wear the hijab - when in reality it should be abnormal amongst us as Muslims, because it is an important obligation. This applies to other issues such as brothers in tight/short clothes, shaving their beards and with hair designs that are forbidden - if many men also practice that, it can normalise it in society. Which is dangerous. - Also, you may see a non hijabi in the street and say well we dont know her heart - which is true, because that is only between her and Allah - But, we do judge according to the apparent. - This can create excuses; eg: why should I wear the hijab, so many others wear it but they arent even religious, hijab means nothing now its about the heart - which is very dangerous to think, because our deeds and obedience are based on both the correct intention AND action. We also shouldnt make excuses of our own disobedience by pointing out someone elses disobedience and shortcomings; because ultimately, we are all judged alone. - Truly our love to Allah is not just lip service, it is proved through our actions. It doesnt make sense for someone who doesnt look religious to still be very religious, because if they were truly religious it means they would obey their creator, meaning it shows through their actions. Eg; it doesnt make sense for someone to be religious but they are disobeying Allah by not wearing hijab for instance. Ultimately we all have weaknesses so it is our duty as an Ummah to remind each other. The one without hijab yes, is possible to have great qualities that the one in full hijab doesnt have, such as honesty and manners. But again, its about reminding and warning each other, and remembering we are all judged alone, not upon what someone else did or didnt do. Also keep in mind if we do remind someone, they may choose to not listen. But our duty is to only deliver the message, we cannot force them either. Guidance is only from Allah. So we make dua for all the Muslims to be guided on the haqq and to love obedience to Allah. Ameen. And I remind myself before others. Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah Alhamdulillah
